Typical Magnetic Separator or Metal Detector Applications

Our magnetic separators and metal detectors can be installed at various HACCP points within the production process including:- gravity fed chutes, pre and post sifting, bulk discharge, sieving stations, pre and post mixers, vacuum or pneumatically fed lines, paste mixing and packaged product inspection.

They are suitable for use with pharmaceuticals in tablet, capsule, powder or liquid form. Our tunnel metal detectors can also be used to detect contamination end of line finished packaged product

Magnetic separators for the pharmaceutical industry

We provide a comprehensive range of magnetic separation systems for pharmaceuticals, designed to be installed at multiple points along the processing line to prevent metal contamination and maintain product quality.

Housed Easy Clean Grid Magnetic Separator – These units can be installed throughout a processing facility to ensure contamination is removed at the source of generation. All dry powders and granular type materials can be processed through the unit.
Pneumag - is designed to be installed in vacuum and pressure conveying pipes (lean/dilute phase), these units are designed specifically for pipelines conveying fine powder material, a typical installation would see Pneumags installed on entry to a silo (tanker discharging) and then inside the factory where the material is being transferred to the point of use. Higher pressure versions are also available for medium phase application at 2-3 barg pressure.
Auto-Shuttle Magnetic Separator – This magnetic separator can carry out a full clean without the need to stop the process.
Rota-Grid - Our high intensity magnetic Rota-Grid separator has been designed specifically to process difficult products that are prone to bridging and/or caking. The unit contains a centrally mounted magnetic ‘rota’ assembly: numerous ‘easy clean’ magnetic rods are arranged in a ‘wheel’ around and parallel to the axis of rotation. The number of rods used depends on the inlet and outlet size.
